My Mother, Mary, is a film that captures an authentic intergenerational conversation about a suppressed and repainted history around the discourse of Black Liberation. Through this documentary series, Caribbeans near and far will have access to reclaiming an integral part of their history that shaped the world as we know it today. Not only will the Caribbean diaspora reign in its deserved appreciation, a gap between the old and young will be bridged by putting their testimonies in conversation with one another.
We will be partnering up with organizations like animated ecologies to hold international screenings in New York, London, Grenada, and Russia. We will also distribute our shorts from our docu-series to film festivals and online streaming services. Our strategy will allow Caribbean peoples near and far to reclaim their history forever since a large portion has been robbed from them.
